Here are a few things that happen when we work on gaining muscle and strength:
Your body/muscles become more dense, making them less susceptible to tears and thereby protecting your joints and bones - less injury, breaks, falls, and joint pain.
Boosts testosterone: it encourages T production, which in turn boosts erections, sex drive, improves sleep, mood, and much more. Better and more sex!? Come on guys…
You acquire the ability to move faster, jump higher, react more quickly, etc. Muscle gives you superpowers!
Improved metabolism: more muscle means burning more while you’re sitting on the couch.
Encourages more movement: the more muscle/strength you have, the better your body feels and the more energy you have, enticing more movement and thereby more calorie burn so you maintain lower body fat.
The more muscle you have, the more you can eat! And the quicker you can cut body fat if ever you want.
Improved Insulin Sensitivity: building muscle helps to regulate blood sugar levels, reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes.
Longevity: Maintaining muscle mass is associated with a longer lifespan and better quality of life as you age.
If not over-trained, gaining muscle can help you not only to live longer, but live with less or no pain as you age. And just enjoy more of life.
If that’s not enough, it also makes you look great! Even if you’ve got a belly, having more muscle in your shoulders and chest for instance, gives the appearance of a more masculine (if you’re into that sort of thing) and even healthier look. It makes your body look less pear or apple-like and more V-shaped. Muscle makes clothes fit and look better. Wardrobe options expand!
BAM! - confidence boosted :)
I could list a lot more but I feel like you’d get bored, if you haven’t already.
Pills, supplements, and quick-fix things you hear about are NOT magic. They might work for a minute but they do not work long term and come with multiple negative side effects.
Guess what has 0 negative side effects, except maybe having to buy new shirts? ;)
Good. Old. Fashioned. Músculos.
Let’s get you some!
