You NEVER see anything in magazines or in the media encouraging men to feel HOT.

Over $500 billion is spent each year on women’s beauty products alone. The marketing towards women is massive as you know. Everything from bras that help to enhance breasts to makeup that gives the cheeks more definition and pants that squeeze the ass so tight you can see every curve - all in the name of beauty and sex appeal.

It’s all for women. There was even an entire 6-season series about it with “SEX” in the name!

There's nothing wrong with that!

But can you imagine a show called, “Men Having Sex?” It would never fly. Society is way too offended by the idea of men’s sexuality.

Can’t we mens talk about our sexy bods too? We're made to feel like it’s wrong…

When I talk with men about their fitness/health goals, the majority mention “looks” as an afterthought. As though there’s some inherent shame around us wanting to look attractive too. Then as we dig deeper, it turns out that looking better, and in fact feeling sexier, is a huge fitness goal (for nearly everyone, mind you).

There should be no shame (around anything, in fact I hate the word) with regards to wanting to look sexier. I sure want to!

I exercise for health, but possibly more so for aesthetics. I love to look a certain way. And this in fact makes me FEEL better - I feel more confident and sexier.

Our internal drive to feel desirable is natural - it’s in our genes:

“From an evolutionary perspective, being seen as attractive can enhance one's chances of finding a mate…which is a fundamental biological drive.” - The Internet (but I mean…also just obvious reality).

To be clear, there are TONS of different versions of what’s attractive and sexy - you can be alluring with many varied shapes and sizes.

And if for you, feeling hotter involves having bigger shoulders, a small OR “dad” belly, thicker legs, a big ass, or simply just caring for your body, then that's what we shall work on!

You deserve to feel sexy and confident in addition to being strong and healthy overall.

XOXO,
