I’m taking a low dose pill for a few reasons and it’s not weight loss:
1. Experience what clients and potential clients are working with so I can be a better coach:
- Tons of people are on them and I want to understand how it works both physically and psychologically.
- I want to experience the side effects so I can learn to navigate them, and determine if it’s worth it.
- I’d like to recommend clients speak with their Dr.’s if I feel they could benefit from them.
2. Reduce food noise for my binge eating and night time sweets:
- I’m human! I get mad cravings too and I especially struggle with sweets at night.
- I tend to skip meals when I’m busy and then binge eat a ton of fatty food at night, just like everyone else!
- I’m going to see if they can help me to do a fat cut and lean out without having to navigate all the cravings.
3. Remove some of the stigma around using these drugs:
- I’ve been told by guys that they feel a bit of shame around using them.
- I want to assure them that there is nothing wrong with getting some help, especially since we live in these crazy calorie-dense food environments where we can get anything anytime, at the push of a button. (I love Crumbl cookies too! Ugh they’re so good…)
4. I’m working to reduce alcohol consumption so I’d like to see how they help with that as well.
All this to say that I am not just out there professing what’s good or bad. I am in the trenches with you, working through my own shit and trying to be a better coach by experiencing first-hand what’s out there.
Keep following me here and on my Insta @zachtaylorfitness to see how I’m doing along the way!
And if you’re on these meds or looking to potentially go on them, give me a shout!
I’m helping others to navigate the ins and outs of how to do them the right way - lose fat without losing muscle and get off them eventually without gaining the fat back!
What are you waiting for?
-Coach Z.
